This crops up a lot in my life… I am learning to live a life that creates no regrets, but it’s definitely a challenging process. With God, all things are possible, if we believe…

I try not to have regrets, but have them anyway. Things I wish I had done for or said to loved ones who have passed away are at the top of the list. But, the earliest memory of a serious character flaw regret was one that happened in 3rd grade. There was a little girl whose family moved to a military base nearby. She joined our class in mid-year and didn’t have the same doll the rest of us did. She asked me if I would play with her paper dolls with her and I remember not being secure enough to do that. I have thought about that child every year since that time and wished I could go back and put some strength in the 8 year old who didn’t make that simple gesture.

We all have experiences like that. When it happens and I remember someone like that, I simply pray and ask God to bless him/her and forgive me my weakness, and to help me learn from the experience. I’m sure you have ‘repaid that debt’ many times over, Beth 🙂
