The problem with stuff (reblog: Rick Warren)

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need (Matt 6:33). I am not materialistic (though, yes, I do have too much stuff – see my previous post on Learning to live with less…clutter). Like you, I long for food, shelter, clothing, work, friends/family – security. That’s not a problem.  It’s our motivation we need to check against Matthew 16:26 – to keep the right focus!
