Sharing God’s love through drama and storytelling – in prison

Friends of mine are missionaries and their ministry is bringing the love of God into the dark, lonely, pain-riddled places we know as prisons. I have known The Hunters for almost 15 years now, and I support their work directly and indirectly.

My connection with them was a visceral one, originating out of the pain of my marriage and divorce to a troubled man who ended up in prison. I have prayed that he would meet and be ministered to by someone like Nick and Joy.

Two years ago, I became involved in a program that matches pen pals to incarcerated Pen Pals, and have been corresponding with two young me. I will share more about my experiences later, but an email from the Hunters alerted me to Joy’s essay, published in The Globe and Mail, which I would encourage you to read (via this link http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/facts-and-arguments/the-circle-game-and-boundaries-of-prison/article22295409/?utm_source=Shared+Article+Sent+to+User&utm_medium=E-mail:+Newsletters+/+E-Blasts+/+etc.&utm_campaign=Shared+Web+Article+Links

Thank you and may God bless you ~ as He is blessing Nick and Joy Hunter
